Taylor Wessing advises on the sale of Fandstan Electric Group to Wabtec Corporation

International law firm Taylor Wessing has acted on behalf of Lord and Lady Tanlaw and their family trusts in relation to the sale of Fandstan Electric Group, the London-headquartered engineering group, to New York-listed Wabtec.

Fandstan designs, makes and installs electrical products for rail transportation and industrial uses. Subsidiaries of the company have been involved in a wide range of projects across the world, including London's DLR, Singapore MRT, Dubai Metro and the Melbourne tram system. Its brand names include Brecknell Willis, Stemmann Technik and Transtech. Based in London, Fandstan Electric has annual sales of approximately $235million and has operations in the UK, Europe, China, Australia and the US.

Wabtec Corporation is a global provider of value-added, technology based products and services for the rail and transit industry.
