Trackunit, a leading global independent provider of machine telematics products and software, has today announced the acquisition of Dreyer+Timm GmbH, a well-established telematics provider for vehicles, trailers and machines in Europe.

With the acquisition of Dreyer+Timm, Trackunit boosts its ability to develop new services (SaaS) wrapped around fleet data which is at the very core of Trackunit’s strategy. The advanced solutions and high level telematics knowhow of Dreyer+Timm is a perfect fit with the trademarks of Trackunit and supports Trackunit’s vision to maintain a leading position in the fast evolving telematics business.

Dreyer+Timm GmbH will continue its operations in Rotenburg, Germany and will gradually move to operate under the Trackunit brand. Dreyer+Timm’s innovative products will continue under their respective brand names.

Trackunit was acquired by Goldman Sachs and GRO Capital in a 2015 transaction in which Bruun & Hjejle acted as legal advisor to Goldman Sachs and GRO Capital. The acquisition of Dreyer+Timm marks part of the active growth strategy for Trackunit under the new ownership. Post the acquisition the installed base of Trackunit GSM/GPS units surpasses 200,000 vehicles and machines globally. Trackunit is headquartered in Pandrup, Denmark and has more than 100 employees.
