A Travers Smith team led by Corporate Partner, Philip Cheveley, advised Ashtead Group PLC ("Ashtead Group") on its acquisition of Accession Group Limited ("Accession"), including its principal trading subsidiary Eve Trakway Limited, for an initial cash consideration of £29m. Additional consideration of £7m may also become payable depending on Accession's profits in the year to 28 March 2014.

Ashtead Group is a leading provider of rental equipment with operations in the US (the Sunbelt division) and the UK (A-Plant).  Accession, which is based in Derbyshire and has seven locations across the United Kingdom, is a specialist rental provider of temporary access solutions and traffic management to the events and industrial sectors.
