Triton is taking over the energy and infrastructure service provider ALPINE-ENERGIE using the legal advice from Linklaters

Munich, 13 August 2013. Triton is to become the new owner of the German-Austrian energy and infrastructure service provider ALPINE-ENERGIE Holding AG with the assistance of Linklater’s legal consultancy and other leading law firms. Triton is taking over all shares of the company with the domicile being in Linz. The seller is the Spanish company Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas. The take - over will be completely financed by Triton Fond’s equity. The transaction is still under reservation of agreement by the relevant competition authorities.

The ALPINE-ENERGIE showed evidence of its potential for growth in the previous years especially in its core area such as planning, construction, as well as the maintenance of telecommunication, high and medium voltage networks and communication networks. The company, which was founded in 1920 employs about 3.000 people. In the previous financial year, a profit of EUR 462 Mio. was achieved. The significant outweigh of the sales are made in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. ALPINE-ENERGIE is however also represented in national affiliates in Luxembourg, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy and Hungary.

ALPINE-ENERGIE has a strong partner with Triton at its side. The Triton Fonds are advised internationally by experienced investment specialists. Triton – being the new owner – wants to support the ALPINE-ENERGIE with the further expanding of the core business. Triton wants to introduce its strategic knowledge in the services sector and it operational know-how particularly with regard to the optimisation regarding the project planning and the process controlling.
