Välinge partners with KKR

12 Feb 2016

Mannheimer Swartling has assisted Darko Perván and certain family members, and their companies, who jointly are majority owners in Välinge International AB, in a transaction whereby they will maintain more than 50 % of the shares in the Välinge group and the investment firm KKR will own the remaining shares. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Välinge is an R&D and IP company in the flooring and furniture industry that pioneered the concept of glueless click floorings, which is used in a majority of all wood and laminate floorings today. Välinge’s partnership with KKR will create a foundation for the company to take the next step in its development and growth.

KKR is a leading global investment firm that manages investments across multiple asset classes including private equity, energy, infrastructure, real estate, credit and hedge funds. KKR aims to generate attractive investment returns by, inter alia, applying a patient and disciplined investment approach.

Mannheimer Swartling’s team mainly consisted of Mattias Karlsson, Stefan Brocker, Jon Rastad, Carl Björk and Johan Grape.
