Statkraft AS, TrønderEnergi AS and Nordic Wind Power DA (European investor consortium set up by Credit Suisse Energy Infrastructure Partners) have decided to invest in what will be Europe's largest onshore wind power project through their jointly owned project company, Fosen Vind DA.
About NOK 11 billion will be invested in six wind farms at Fosen, Hitra and Snillfjord with a total capacity of 1000 MW. Additional substantial investments will be made by Statnett in interlinked central grid extension projects, cumulatively providing for one of the largest onshore infrastructure projects in Norway to date.
We have advised TrønderEnergi AS and exiting partner NTE Energi AS on all aspects of the Fosen Vind project, including the establishment of Fosen Vind DA and the drafting and negotiation of a broad suite of project contracts. Our engagement in this project has been on-going for more than two years.
