WFW advises CHORUS on the acquisition of a 7.8 MW solar farm in Italy

24 Jun 2013

WFW advised CHORUS on the acquisition of the Ternavasso project with regard to legal aspects of corporate, finance and tax law. WFW involved its German and Italian offices in this cross border transaction.

CHORUS, a recognized asset manager for renewable energy projects located with its head offices in Neubiberg near Munich, will be responsible for the operational and technical management of this solar farm which was connected to the grid in April 2011 and therefore benefits from the statutory provisions according to the Conto Energia III.

CHORUS, with more than 70 solar and wind farms, expects an annual return for its investors at an average of approximately 12%.

The multi-disciplinary German-Italian team was led by Hamburg based tax partner Gerrit Bartsch. He advised CHORUS together with the Italian associates Tiziana Manenti, Luca Sfrecola (both Corporate/Rome), Francesco Dialti (Asset Finance/Milan), and Raffaele Villa (Tax/Milan) as well as the German associate Martina Füchsl (Tax/Munich).
