Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW“) has advised DC-Datacenter-Group GmbH (“DC-Datacenter-Group“) on its new strategic partnership with MVV, an energy company headquartered in Mannheim, Germany.

As part of the partnership, MVV has acquired a 25.1% stake in DC-Datacenter-Group, an international database management company based in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate and founded in 2005. The company focusses on the design, establishment and operation of data centres for both private companies and public institutions.

The partnership brings together the complimentary expertise of DC-Datacenter-Group and MVV, ensuring both will be able to run customised data centres operating to the highest standards of security and efficiency.

The WFW Germany team advising DC-Datacenter-Group was led by Frankfurt Partner Dr Christoph Naumann (Corporate), assisted by Hamburg Partners Verena Scheibe (Tax) and Dr Christine Bader (Competition). Hamburg Partner Dr Andreas Wiegreffe advised on employment and service contract matters.
