Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised Homunity, a start-up which has developed a rental property crowdfunding platform, on its first round fund raising subscribed to by investment funds Petit Poucet Participation 3 and Clarisse SA (Aquarelle.com).
Formed in September 2014 by Quentin Romet and Arnaud de Vergie, joined in March 2015 by Charles Teytaut, Homunity helps investors build up a rental property portfolio or diversify their existing assets by combining return and added-value.
Homunity is a beneficiary of the BDO Coaching programme run by Frédéric Léger which helps specialised start-ups develop innovative products and services.
The WFW Paris team was led by corporate partner Pascal Roux, assisted by associates Anne-Kelly d’Amécourt and Pierre Chipaux.
Pascal Roux commented: “We are pleased to have assisted Homunity establish itself over the past year in a fast growing market. Their bid to raise seed capital was very successful, attracting reputable, well-known investors. It is quite possible there will be another round in due course”.
