Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Ingenico Group, the global leader in seamless payments, on its €1.5 billion acquisition of Bambora, a fast-growing global player in the payments industry, from private equity firm Nordic Capital.

The transaction is the largest M&A deal in Sweden in 2017 to date, according to Mergermarket, and is expected to close by the end of 2017 subject to approval from the relevant regulatory and antitrust authorities.

It provides a one-stop shop offer to both the enterprise and small and midsize businesses markets, delivering in-store, mobile and online services through end-to-end payment solutions for more than 110,000 merchants and enterprises globally. Bambora generates more than 90 percent recurring revenue and achieved gross revenue of €202 million during 2016. The acquisition represents a key milestone in the execution of Ingenico's strategy to acquire 'disruptors' in the payments sector.
