White & Case LLP has advised Kemira Oyj, a global chemicals company headquartered in Finland serving customers in water-intensive industries, on the sale of its ChemSolutions’ formic acid business to Taminco Corporation, a portfolio company of Apollo Management.

The transaction was announced on December 23, 2013 and closed on March 6, 2014. It includes a manufacturing plant for formic acid, Kemira’s feed and airport runway deicing product lines in Oulu, Finland, and approximately 160 employees.
