Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Paris-based renewable energy company Neoen which, together with Tesla, has committed to construct, operate and maintain the world's largest lithium ion battery.

The battery, which is expected to be completed by December 1, 2017 will be paired with Neoen's existing Hornsdale Wind Farm and will have a storage capacity of 100 MW. South Australian Premier Jay Weatherill announced the project, saying: "Battery storage is the future of our national energy market, and the eyes of the world will be following our leadership in this space."
