Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) in the purchase of shares in Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. (ESRT) (NYSE:ESRT) through a private offering worth approximately US$622 million. ESRT is a REIT with office and retail properties in Manhattan and the greater New York metropolitan area, including the iconic Empire State Building. The deal closed on August 23, 2016.
