White & Case Advises Toyota Industries Corporation on €1.16 Billion Acquisition of Vanderlande

03 Apr 2017

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) on an agreement to acquire Vanderlande Industries Holding B.V., the global market leader for value-added logistic process automation, for a total value of €1.16 billion.

"This transaction demonstrates our ability to support clients on their most important and complex matters across our worldwide network," said Stockholm-based White & Case partner Darragh Byrne.

The transaction demonstrates TICO's strategic ambition to increase its presence in the automated material handling market. It follows recently announced expansion in North America and further strengthens TICO's leading global position for total solutions within material handling.

Founded in 1949, Vanderlande is the global market leader for value-added logistic process automation at airports, and in the parcel market. The company is also a leading supplier of process automation solutions for warehouses.

The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partner Darragh Byrne with support from associates Seiran Sinjari and Petter Ullman (all Stockholm), and also included lawyers from 21 White & Case offices.
