Wragge & Co's commercial specialists have advised new client car2go on the launch of its first flexible vehicle hire scheme in the UK. Already established in Europe, the US and Canada, the new UK scheme marks a further step in the company's growth plans.
Initially, it will start in the London Boroughs of Islington, Newham and Sutton, but with the intention to quickly extend the scheme into other London boroughs and other cities across the UK.
Partner David Lowe led the project and gave advised on the commercial contracts, with support from solicitor Lara Wilding. Associate Jocelyn Paulley led on data protection advice, while partner Stuart Young assisted with establishing the corporate vehicle, car2go Ltd. The team worked closely with car2go headquarters in Germany and the UK Team.

It has fleets in operation in 18 cities around the world including Berlin in Germany, Vancouver in Canada, Washington D.C. in the U.S. and Vienna in Austria.
