DLA Piper represented private equity firm Caltius Equity Partners in the sale of its equity interest in national sign and lighting provider MC Sign, LLC to an affiliate of alternative investment manager Arcapita Investment Management US Inc.

The transaction was valued at more than US$100 million. Caltius Equity, which invests in middle-market companies with a focus on business services, industrial services, IT and managed services, and consumer services sectors, worked with MC to develop an acquisitions pipeline, invest in efficient technologies and build a strong management team. The work resulted in increased profit margins throughout the company. DLA Piper also represented Caltius Equity in its acquisition of MC in 2015.
