Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that Keith Bradley, Ph.D., has joined as partner in the firm’s Environmental, Safety & Health Practice, resident in Denver. Dr. Bradley served as Senior Advisor to the General Counsel of the US Department of Energy (DOE) from 2014-2017, and, more recently, as Senior Counsel for RE/MAX, LLC and Motto Franchising, LLC. Dr. Bradley has also served as a judicial clerk for the with the US Supreme Court for Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and with the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit for Judge Janice Roger Brown.

As a senior advisor at DOE, Dr. Bradley counseled senior officials on some of the most challenging issues in evolving energy policy, ranging from uranium markets and nuclear nonproliferation to electric reliability and energy conservation. He organized the defense of several major departmental litigations, supervised revisions to energy-efficiency regulations and oversaw sensitive contract negotiations. Prior to joining DOE, Dr. Bradley also served as Counsel in the Legal Division of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), where he advised on regulatory matters across a broad spectrum of consumer finance markets.
Dr. Bradley is also a former physicist, with 13 issued patents in nanotechnology areas, such as chemical detection and energy storage.
Dr. Bradley received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent Scholar and winner of the E.B. Convers Prize. Dr. Bradley holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California at Berkeley. He earned a Certificate of Advanced Study in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics, with honors, from the University of Chicago.
