PARTNER MOVES - Australian and Asian Projects offering bolstered with the return of Simon Huxley as a partner

08 Mar 2018

Allen & Overy has announced the appointment of Simon Huxley as a Sydney-based partner in its Asia Pacific Projects group. The appointment marks Simon’s return to Allen & Overy having originally been with the firm between 2010 - 2016.

Simon specialises in construction and commercial matters and has a wealth of experience working with developers, investors, financial advisors, and lenders across a number of industry sectors including renewable, infrastructure, power, energy and resources. His regional experience is particularly significant given Asia is expected to continue to dominate global infrastructure needs and Australia is among the top ten largest infrastructure markets in the world.

Adam Stapledon, head of Allen & Overy’s Banking and Projects practice in Australia, commented: “Our global projects group remains a strategic priority for the business. The market in Australia and across Asia from a renewables, infrastructure, power and energy perspective is moving in an upward trajectory, and we look forward to Simon working with our clients on some of the most high-profile, complex and innovative transactions in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.”

Jason Denisenko, Managing Partner of Allen & Overy in Australia, commented: “Simon’s return demonstrates our commitment to attracting the best talent and ensuring that we continue to provide our clients with the global reach, sector expertise and local knowledge necessary to achieve their goals.”
