PARTNER MOVES - Energy partner rejoins Dentons in Dallas

Dentons, the global law firm, has announced that Barry Cannaday rejoins the Firm as an Energy partner in the Dallas office.

Cannaday, who rejoins Dentons where he previously practiced for 10 years, represents energy clients in matters involving downstream and midstream oil and gas exploration, production, processing, gathering, transportation and marketing. He counsels both onshore and offshore clients on creative strategies for oil and gas leasing, contracting, operations, regulatory compliance, joint ventures, financing, acquisition, divestitures and restructuring. Cannaday also represents chemical companies in negotiating and drafting operating agreements, feedstock supply agreements, processing agreements and utility supply agreements.

In addition, Cannaday represents energy clients in arbitration, trial and appellate work relating to most facets of the petroleum industry. Before entering private practice, Cannaday served as in-house counsel for Gulf Oil Corporation and also as general counsel for Mesa Petroleum Co.
