29 Jun 2018

International law firm Proskauer has announced the arrival of Jonathan Weiss as a partner in the Litigation Department, resident in the Los Angeles office.

His arrival follows a number of high-profile additions to the Firm’s Los Angeles office, including transactional lawyers Don Melamed and Albert Stemp, and nationally acclaimed litigators Bart Williams and Manuel Cachán.

“We are pleased to welcome Jonathan to Proskauer. His broad commercial litigation practice and proven track record in the courtroom strategically enhances our offerings to clients,” said Timothy Mungovan, Chair of Proskauer’s Litigation Department.

Jonathan’s commercial litigation practice includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex matters, including antitrust, class action, financial services and securities. A highly acclaimed litigator, he has won multiple noteworthy jury verdicts, including one of the largest jury awards in the history of the State of Arizona, and he has significant appellate experience in both state and federal courts. Recognized for his commitment to pro bono, Jonathan has been honored by Public Counsel, the largest pro bono law firm in the U.S. He is a member of the Pacific Council on International Policy, and lectures extensively on appellate advocacy. Jonathan received his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh, and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
