DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Borja de Obeso, will join the Madrid office as a partner in the Litigation & Regulatory practice.
Borja, a senior disputes partner with over 20 years of experience, will join the firm from Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, a Spanish law firm. Prior to that, he worked as a State lawyer (Abogado del Estado) in the High Court of Justice and the Contentious-Administrative Courts of Madrid. Borja specialises in civil and criminal litigation, international arbitration and contentious administrative actions. He has particular expertise in the financial services sector, having advised major financial institutions throughout his career. Borja will join the firm as Head of the Litigation & Arbitration team in Spain, which is part of the wider Litigation & Regulatory practice led by partner Javier Santos.
