Dentons is pleased to announce that John Cusano has joined the Firm as a partner in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution and Regulatory groups.
Based in Calgary, John’s practice will focus primarily on the financial services sector where he specializes in both retail and commercial matters, and has worked on behalf of large financial institutions. He has experience in successfully defending organizations against fraud, breach of contract, negligence, and other matters where litigation and risk are involved.
“We are delighted to welcome John to the Firm,” said Don Leitch, Managing Partner of Dentons’ Calgary office. “He has extensive experience appearing before the provincial and federal regulators with matters related to market rules applications, transmission system expansions, cost of capital, and other tariff issues. With proficiency in both mediation and commercial arbitration, John will be an asset to Dentons and the clients we serve.”
John has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta, and is well versed in matters related to surface rights, natural gas liquids, facility applications, processing service agreements, pipeline agreements and cost of service issues.
He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary, and his Bachelor of Law from the University of Alberta. John was called to Alberta Bar in 2001.
