DLA Piper today that Jeff Diener has joined the firm's Real Estate team as a partner in San Francisco.
Diener represents private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, life science and technology clients, and lenders and developers in acquisitions, dispositions and financings involving hospitality and other commercial real estate assets in North America, Europe and Asia. He also has experience forming and negotiating joint ventures and representing creditors, buyers and debtors in various distressed company situations and bankruptcy matters. Diener has broad experience working on hospitality transactions and frequently collaborates with clients who are disrupting the real estate space.

Diener is the latest addition to the firm's Northern California offices, which have also recently welcomed Evelyn Kim, a Finance partner in San Francisco; Joseph Myszka, a Tax partner in Silicon Valley; and Tracy Shapiro, an Intellectual Property and Technology partner in San Francisco.
Diener joins from Paul Hastings LLP, where he served as vice-chair of the firm's San Francisco office. He received his J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law, his M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and his B.A. from Cornell University.
