Marily Paralika joins Fieldfisher Paris as a partner of 17 June 2019, to set up an international arbitration practice, bringing the number of partners in the Paris office to 18.
Marily specializes in international arbitration, and brings back 15 years of experience. She acts as counsel in arbitration proceedings governed by ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SCC arbitration rules, and ad hoc proceedings.
She represents parties in the construction, energy and infrastructure sectors, both in commercial arbitrations and investor-state disputes, and assists with the pre-arbitral strategic advice. Marily also acts as an arbitrator in international arbitration proceedings.
Marily is the author of numerous articles and publications in her field of expertise. She is a regular speaker at conferences on international arbitration and teaches at the Faculty of Law of the University of Athens (Master of Civil Law and Energy).
Marily is recognized among her peers and clients for her exceptional expertise. Since 2017, she has been on the list of Future Leaders in the Who's Who Legal - Arbitration guide, which considers her to be an outstanding actor in the field of international arbitration.
At Fieldfisher, she will be able to access the expertise of Professor Eric Loquin, a well-known consultant and expert in business law and arbitration.
About Marily Paralika :
Before joining Fieldfisher Paris, Marily was a senior associate in the international arbitration group of White & Case in Paris, where she joined in 2007. She began her career in 2001 in Athens, with the law firm Kyriakides-Georgopoulos, where she worked as an Associate, before joining the Secretariat of the International Court of Arbitration in Paris in 2003 as Deputy Counsel, where she supervised arbitration proceedings involving parties from all over the world.
Marily obtained a Master's degree in International Economic Law from the University of Paris II Pantheon-Assas in 2000 and an LLM in European and International Law from the University of Athens in 1999.
She has been a member of the Athens Bar since 2001 and of the Paris Bar since 2007.
Marily is a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, and a member of the Board of Directors of ArbitralWomen and is involved with other organizations.
A native Greek speaker, she is fluent in French and English.
