Peter joins the firm's Brussels office from the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg where he was a Référendaire in the cabinet of Advocate-General Sharpston.
Prior to moving to Luxembourg in May 2018, Peter spent four years at Axiom Associates in Edinburgh where he was an advocate specialising in EU law. He called to the Scottish bar after two years as Head of Competition and Regulatory – Insurance at Lloyds Banking Group, also in Edinburgh.
Peter previously worked for Fieldfisher for three years up until December 2010, also then as a member of the EU Regulatory practice. He was Of Counsel advising on EU free movement of goods (including chemicals, biocides, pesticides and fuel additives), and on litigation before European Courts, national courts and agencies.
In his new role as Partner, Peter will lead on litigation before the European Courts and advise clients on compliance with EU regulatory, competition and trade law, including task forces set up within the framework of chemical (REACH), biocides and pesticides legislation.
