“We are happy to welcome Alex to Greenberg Traurig as we continue to strengthen the bench of IP attorneys in our Minneapolis office,” said Michael B. Fisco, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Minneapolis office. “Alex is a skilled patent attorney and well-connected with clients locally and globally.”

Kim focuses his practice on matters involving U.S. patent prosecution as well as counseling clients on international patent matters. He has wide-ranging experience in prosecuting patent applications in front of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Kim has a background in physics, chemistry, biophysics, computational biology, and physiology and deep knowledge across a broad range of technologies and industries.

“I am thrilled to join Greenberg Traurig and its highly-regarded team of intellectual property attorneys,” Kim said. “The firm’s capabilities and global reach, specifically in South Korea, offer a great opportunity for me to further build my practice.”

Active in the Korean business and legal communities, Kim is president-elect of the International Association of Korean Lawyers and founded the Korean American Bar Association of Minnesota. He is also involved with the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and the Minnesota Asian Pacific American Bar Association, of which he is an advisory board member and former president and executive board member.
