DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is pleased to announce that Stephen Gleave has joined the firm as a Partner in the Toronto office. Stephen has a commercial litigation practice with a focus on employment litigation.
In his 30 years of experience, Stephen has completed over 50 trials, 300 labour and commercial arbitrations and 50 labour and civil injunctions. He has represented parties in wrongful competition matters ranging from restrictive covenants, breach of confidence, breach of fiduciary duties, Charter challenges to retirement and benefit issues, executive compensation plans and complex wrongful dismissal actions. Stephen also represents employers in complex disputes arising under a shareholders agreement or the Ontario Business Corporations Act, including Rights of First Refusals, the valuation of a business, motions for advanced payments in a shareholder valuation dispute, oppression or derivate actions brought against or on behalf of a corporation.
