Continuing to build on its growing global Corporate Practice, Greenberg Traurig, LLP welcomes corporate attorney John Holland as a shareholder in its Dallas office. Holland joins the firm from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
“Meeting the needs of clients who need the multidisciplinary experience and capabilities of our Corporate Practice continues to be an area of focus for Greenberg Traurig. The team in Texas, where the firm has a strong presence in key areas of practice, has seen nine attorneys join since 2018,” said Joseph. F Coniglio, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Dallas office. “I could not be more pleased to welcome John to our Greenberg Traurig family.”
“Greenberg Traurig has an unequalled geographic reach and depth of capability and expertise and, deservedly, a well-regarded reputation for the work it does on behalf of clients in a wide range of areas,” Holland said. “It’s this known quality of service and experience that excites me about joining the team, and I look forward to actively contributing in the firm’s continued success.”
“Having John join us in our Dallas office adds additional strength to our growing U.S. corporate platform,” said Alan I. Annex, co-chair of the firm’s global Corporate Practice.
Holland focuses his practice on corporate and securities law, including domestic and multinational mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, combinations, and joint ventures and strategic alliances, both for strategic and financial investors and for publicly traded and privately held companies. His practice also focuses on corporate governance, special committee representation, complex commercial transactions, public offerings and private placements, and in-court and out-of-court restructurings. Holland advises companies across a wide variety of industries, including the energy, aviation, insurance, healthcare, and financial services industries. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2009, and a B.A. from the Dickinson College in 2005. Holland is licensed in both Texas and New York.
