PARTNER MOVES - Pansy Wong joins Linklaters’ Financial Regulation practice in London

29 Apr 2020

Linklaters has announced that Pansy Wong will join its Financial Regulation practice as partner in July.

Pansy joins from J.P. Morgan Securities, where she was Managing Director and Associate General Counsel. A Linklaters alumnus, Pansy completed her training contract with the firm in Hong Kong before leaving the firm as a Managing Associate in 2004. Since then she has worked at Goldman Sachs and most recently J.P. Morgan Securities.

Peter Bevan, partner and Global Practice Head of the Financial Regulation Group said:

“We are pleased to welcome Pansy to the Financial Regulation practice in London. An expert on MiFID II, FinTech, Asset Management and managing operational implementation of regulation, she has extensive in-house experience in the banking industry. Pansy is a strong and timely addition to the practice leadership as we help clients with changes in regulatory regimes and those aspects of their businesses which are impacted by regulations. Her practical experience navigating the legal and regulatory compliance risks faced by financial services firms will greatly complement our combined advisory and contentious practice where we find ourselves increasingly focused on helping clients to manage their regulatory risk exposure.”
Linklaters’ Financial Regulation Group (FRG) advises on all aspects of regulation across the financial services industry. The team offers a global FRG practice, with dedicated members in offices throughout Europe, the U.S. and Asia. With longstanding relationships with investment and commercial banks, investment managers, trading platforms and exchanges worldwide, FRG has extensive experience working with regulators, including the PRA and FCA, and providing advice in relation to regulatory structuring, governance, complex cross-border regulatory investigations, enforcement cases, system and control requirements, regulatory reporting, risk advisory mandates and the establishment of new market participants.
