PARTNER MOVES - Bankruptcy and Restructuring Partner Maja Zerjal Fink Joins Arnold & Porter in New York

Arnold & Porter announced that Maja Zerjal Fink has joined the firm's Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice as a partner, resident in New York.

Ms. Zerjal Fink represents clients in distressed situations, corporate reorganizations, distressed investment litigation, and insolvency proceedings in the United States and across the globe. She has been involved in some of the largest reorganization cases in the United States, including the restructuring of Puerto Rico's outstanding debt load of more than $74 billion and casino empire Caesars Entertainment's debt of over $18 billion. Her experience includes representations of private equity sponsors, debtors, foreign debtors and representatives, statutory and ad hoc committees, lenders, bondholders, investors, trade creditors, and landlords.

Most recently, Ms. Zerjal Fink was recognized as one of four 2020 Law360 Rising Stars in Bankruptcy, an award that recognizes top legal talent under the age of 40 nationwide, as well as a Rising Star in Bankruptcy by Super Lawyers. She is also a member of the International Insolvency Institute's NextGen Class IX (2020). In 2019, The Legal500 named her a Rising Star in Corporate/Restructuring. She also has been named a Pro Bono Star by Human Rights First, a non-profit, nonpartisan international human rights organization.

Ms. Zerjal Fink earned her LLM from Harvard Law School, where she was a Dean's Scholar in Corporate Reorganization and served as Senior Editor of the Harvard Business Law Review. She received her BA in Law from the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, where she graduated first in class.
