PARTNER MOVES - Insolvency lawyer Tim Symes has joined Stewarts’ Commercial Litigation department as a Partner from DMH Stallard

Tim Symes is an experienced insolvency lawyer with 18 years’ experience in the contentious insolvency field. His expertise covers contentious insolvency litigation encompassing director misfeasance, antecedent transactions and enforcement of office-holders’ investigatory powers leading to asset recoveries for creditors. Tim is ranked by Chambers and Partners for his work in this area.

In recent years Stewarts has acted in a number of substantial multijurisdictional insolvency matters. This includes for the liquidators of Stanford International Bank in regard to the fraud perpetrated by Robert Allen Stanford and others, for the liquidators in Akers & Anr V Deutsche Bank AG (Re Chesterfield United Inc and Partridge Management Group SA), and for the joint liquidators in Re Comet Group Ltd (in liquidation), Khan and others v Whirlpool (UK) Ltd.
