Leading commercial law firm Hill Dickinson is delighted to announce the addition of new partner Adrian Jones to the firm’s Commercial Litigation team in London as it drives forward with ambitious plans for growth.
Adrian brings with him over 20 years of experience representing clients in international arbitrations, with a particular focus on companies in the oil and gas, mining, metals, pharmaceutical and financial services industries.
He joins the firm from leading US law firm, Faegre Baker Daniels, where he was a partner in the business litigation group. Vastly experienced in international arbitration, Adrian has represented clients in high-value and complex international arbitration cases, both under institutional rules, including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and those of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).
Adrian has handled arbitrations connected with South Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, the Caribbean and Russia. He has represented investors in arbitrations arising out of Bilateral Investment Treaties and in contractual claims against states.
In the financial services sector, Adrian represents banks and has been involved in a number of shareholder disputes and has acted in a number of cases involving hedge funds.
Welcoming him to the team, Fiona Parry, head of commercial litigation at Hill Dickinson said: ""We are absolutely delighted to have Adrian on board as we move forward with the growth of our London based commercial dispute resolution practice. As a firm, the fact that we have significant knowledge and expertise across the commercial field means we are ideally placed to assist our clients emerge from the current pandemic. Adrian’s outstanding expertise in international arbitration, in particular, adds further breadth to our team and will help ensure we continue to provide our clients with the highest level of service.""
Adrian, who is also a former barrister with higher rights of audience in all courts, is widely recognised for his work in international arbitration. He is acknowledged by the industry’s legal directories as a ‘leading individual’ (Legal 500, 2014 to 2018) and 'an outstanding lawyer with a highly commercial approach to problem solving’ (Chambers and Partners, 2019).
A graduate of the University of Durham, Adrian was called to the Bar in 1994. He was admitted as a solicitor in 2001.
