Simmons’ Frankfurt office will be joined by real estate partner Boris Strauch.
International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced that its Frankfurt office will be joined by real estate partner Boris Strauch on 1 February.
Boris joins the firm from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, where he has spent the last four years as a partner within the firm's real estate practice. Prior to this, he spent several years as a real estate counsel with Dentons Europe.
Boris' experience of more than 13 years in the field of real estate makes him an industry expert not only for transactions, but for project development, advising developers and institutional investors on the entire life cycle of real estate projects, from pre-examination of building sites all the way to handover/acceptance and sale. Boris also specialises in advising regulatory and public law matters in the fields of renewable energy and infrastructure, including transactions and ongoing asset management for onshore wind and solar parks.
Working with Oliver Beyer, real estate partner in Simmons & Simmons' Munich office, Boris Strauch will considerably strengthen Simmons' German real estate service offering. He will be joined in Frankfurt by two experienced members of his team.
On welcoming Boris to the firm, Stephan Ulrich, head of the German corporate and commercial practice group said: ""Boris is highly regarded as an expert in real estate transactions and project development. We're excited to welcome him to the firm. His expertise in real estate as well as renewable energy and infrastructure is a tremendous fit with our team and our business strategy.""
On joining the firm, Boris commented: ""I am delighted to join the Simmons team in Frankfurt. Simmons is a highly reputed player in the German legal market and offers significant opportunity for a sustainable development of our joint business, both in Germany and across the jurisdictions in which Simmons practises, particularly the UK and in Continental Europe.""
