Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has hired its second partner in Amsterdam recruiting corporate partner and civil-law notary Alexander Spoor as it boosts its technology, science and industry (TSI) capabilities in The Netherlands.

Joining from Baker McKenzie, Alexander's practice incorporates national and cross-border transactions and joint venture projects for Dutch and foreign corporations. Alongside transactional matters, Alexander advises on corporate restructurings and global reorganisations as well as the optimization of group structures,  focused on the tech and life sciences sectors.

The firm announced the launch of its Amsterdam office – its seventh office in continental Europe with the hire of TMT, data privacy and digital lawyer Wouter Seinen in February. As head of the Amsterdam office, Wouter will the lead the firm as it expands its global footprint in response to client demand across Europe advising clients on cyber, data, tech and life sciences mandates.
