Leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has hired Anthony Vasey as a private capital partner in Hong Kong.
Anthony has over 20 years' experience advising private equity firms, funds and companies on cross-border M&A, private credit and debt, and restructuring and insolvency.

The firm's recent Asia private capital investments include the hire of Peiwen Chen in, and the relocation of Malika Chandrasegaran to, Singapore in September 2023, the hire of private funds partner Benjamin Lohr in Hong Kong in January 2024, and the promotions to partner of Victor Chiew, Stephanie and Salonika Rathod in May 2023 and of Lucy Curran and Michelle Virgiany in May 2024.
Partners Peiwen Chen and Kathryn Sanger lead the firm's cross-practice private capital team in Asia, which advises many of the world's leading private equity houses, investment funds, asset managers and sovereign wealth funds, as well as sponsors seeking investment.
