Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company - US$1 billion credit facility

Slaughter and May advised the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company k.s.c., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, in relation to its new US$1 billion credit facility. The facility is for general corporate purposes and will support KUFPEC’s international expansion plans.

Dacheng Advises Jiangsu YaTeer Ground-Source Air Conditioning Co., Ltd. on NEEQ Listing

On November 13, Jiangsu YaTeer Ground-Source Air Conditioning Co., Ltd. (stock code: 831355) was successfully listed on the National Equities and Exchange Quotations (“NEEQ”) system, becoming the third NEEQ-listed enterprise in Changshu. A team led by Shanghai-based senior partner Wang Hanqi advised the company on the listing. Wang was assisted by partner Fan Jianhong, paralegals Guo Mengyuan and Wei Weiqiang.

WFW advises Industrielle Werke Basel anew on the acquisition of a 12 MW onshore wind farm in northern France

Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Industrielle Werke Basel (“IWB”) on the acquisition of the “Les Champs aux Chats” wind farm in the département Pas-de-Calais in northern France. The wind farm was acquired from the German project developer OSTWIND International (“OSTWIND”).

WFW advised the Swiss energy provider IWB on the acquisition of all shares in the wind farm's operating company regarding all relevant legal and tax aspects in Germany and France.

Houthoff Buruma advises Van Oord on the acquisition of Ballast Nedam Offshore's activities and assets

Van Oord has reached an agreement with Ballast Nedam on the acquisition of Ballast Nedam Offshore's activities and assets, for an undisclosed sum. Houthoff Buruma is advising Van Oord on this matter. The acquisition is part of Van Oord’s strategy to expand its Offshore Wind Projects business unit. The transaction is expected to be finalized before the end of 2014 subject to the customary conditions, including obtaining approval from the competition authorities.

Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance has advised GDF Suez on the acquisition through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Cofely South East Asia of Keppel FMO, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Infrastructure Holdings. The acquisition signed and competed in Singapore on 28 November 2014.
