Schulte is advising Kimmeridge Energy Management Company LLC in its nomination of three directors to the board of PDC Energy Inc., an independent oil and gas company focused on the responsible development of natural resources.

The Schulte Roth & Zabel team advising Kimmeridge Energy Management Company LLC is led by Ele Klein, partner and co-chair of the firm’s global Shareholder Activism Group. Addleshaw Goddard advises on significant PRS forward-funded sale

Addleshaw Goddard has advised developer Waterside Places Limited Partnership ("WPLP") a joint venture between Muse Developments and the Canal & River Trust, on the £40m sale of a 108 private-home PRS development to Grainger Residential.
Newcastle based Grainger, has agreed to forward-fund and acquire the 108 PRS units, which will be built out by WPLP, representing a significant milestone towards realising WPLP's vision to deliver over 500 new homes to this part of London.

Baker Botts Acts for PAO Novatek on the 10% Sale in Arctic LNG 2 to Total

MOSCOW and LONDON, March 5, 2019 – A cross border team of Global Projects lawyers at Baker Botts, a leading international law firm, has acted for PAO Novatek (“Novatek”), one of the largest independent natural gas producers in Russia, on the sale of a 10% participation interest in the Arctic LNG 2 project. The transaction signed on 4 March and will close by the end of the first quarter of 2019.

GOWLING WLG ADVISES ON FIRST GREENFIELD PROJECT FINANCING AND DEVELOPMENT IN ARMENIA

International law firm Gowling WLG has advised on the first Greenfield project financing and development in Armenia.

The firm's Energy Team advised sponsors Renco SpA and Siemens Project Ventures on US$260 million, 240MW Combined Cycle Gas Fire power station.

In addition to the construction, operation and maintenance of the plant, located in Yerevan, the team advised on all project financing aspects of senior debt being provided by the International Finance Corporation, Asian Development Bank, DEG, KFW and OFID.

The acquisition will expand Shell's offering of residential smart energy storage and energy services

Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie has advised Shell's New Energies division (Shell) on its agreements to acquire 100% of sonnen, a leader in smart energy storage systems and innovative energy services for households.  The deal, which was announced on 15 February 2019 and was subject to regulatory approvals, closed earlier today.

WFW advises Cubico on £272m UK renewables portfolio refinancing

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised long-standing client Cubico Sustainable Investments (“Cubico”) on the £272m refinancing of its 200 MW UK renewables portfolio, comprising 17 onshore wind and solar PV projects across the country. All of the projects in the portfolio, a mixture of ROC accredited and Feed-in Tariff projects, are fully operational and reached commercial operation between 2013-2016

 

CMS AD­VISES LUX­CARA ON AC­QUIS­I­TION OF 100 MW WIND FARM PRO­JECT IN FIN­LAND

Hamburg – Asset manager Luxcara has acquired the Finnish onshore wind farm project Välikangas from the developer, ABO Wind AG. The wind farm in northern Finland has a planned total installed capacity of 100 megawatts and is scheduled to become operational in summer 2020. The purchase price was not disclosed.
