Charles Russell Speechlys advises Predator Oil & Gas Holdings plc on Main Market listing

Charles Russell Speechlys has advised oil & natural gas producer Predator Oil & Gas Holdings plc on their standard listing on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.

The company has a Trinidad based enhanced oil recovery project as well as exploration acreage offshore Ireland. The group will raise £1.3million of new capital, with new shares being sold at a price of 2.8p.  The placing was “significantly oversubscribed”.

RockRose Energy to Acquire Dyas for €107 Million

Cooley advised RockRose Energy on its agreement to acquire Dyas for €107 million. Partner Ed Lukins led the team advising RockRose.

The acquisition will be funded by existing cash and will add 13 million barrels of oil equivalent net developed reserves and more than 5,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. There will be a significant working capital adjustment at the completion of the deal.

Squire Patton Boggs Advises Raksha Energy on Takeover of AIM-listed Mytrah Energy Limited

Squire Patton Boggs has advised Raksha Energy Holdings Limited on its successful offer to acquire the issued ordinary share capital of AIM-listed Mytrah Energy Limited. The acquisition was implemented by means of a takeover offer governed by the UK Takeover Code and valued the entire issued share capital of Mytrah Energy Limited at approximately £78.9 million.

Ashurst advises PIC on marketing agreement with Canada Kuwait Petrochemical Corporation

International law firm Ashurst advised Petrochemical Industries Company K.S.C. ('PIC') on a definitive agreement with Canada Kuwait Petrochemical Corporation ('CKPC') to be the marketing agent for CKPC's proposed 550 thousand metric ton per year polypropylene (PP) production facility in Sturgeon County, Alberta, Canada (the 'Project'). CKPC is a joint venture between PIC and Pembina Pipeline Corporation.

Corrs advises MACH Energy on Mount Pleasant Joint Venture

Australia’s leading independent law firm, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, has advised MACH Energy Australia Pty Ltd in relation to its recently announced agreement with JCD Australia Pty Ltd (JCDA) to establish the Mount Pleasant Joint Venture.

Under the agreement, JCDA will acquire a 5% interest in the Mount Pleasant coal project and MACH and JCDA will establish the Mount Pleasant Joint Venture to develop and operate the Mount Pleasant coal mine.

Herbert Smith Freehills advises China's State Grid on US$2.5 billion issue of dual currency notes

Leading global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has advised China's State Grid Corporation, the world's largest utility and power grid corporation, on a dual-currency four-tranche issue of notes that raised US$2.5 billion.

The USD notes are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the EUR notes are listed on Euronext Dublin.

WV Energie and Stadtwerke Bad Vilbel sell KNK Wind to offshore wind energy developer Parkwind assisted by Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek

A team led by Dr. Kai Bandilla and Dr. Stefan Duhnkrack, both partners at the Hamburg office, advised Hesse-based WV Energie AG and Stadtwerke Bad Vilbel on the sale of project company KNK Wind GmbH for the planned Arcadis Ost 1wind farm in the Baltic Sea. The buyer is Belgian project developer and offshore wind farm operator Parkwind. The reason for the transaction was the contract awarded for the Arcadis Ost 1 project at the second German offshore wind auction.
 

Gide, counsel to Total on a petrochemical project in Algeria, with partner Sonatrach

As part of the global partnership between the two groups announced in 2017, on 11 May Sonatrach signed an agreement with Total for the development, construction and operation of a propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene production complex in the Arzew Industrial Area, Algeria.

This project, estimated at 1.4 billion dollars, will be borne by a joint company owned by Sonatrach (51%) and Total (49%).
