Ashurst advises on first Bermudian scheme of arrangement of Norwegian law debt

Ashurst is advising Archer Limited ('Archer'), a global oilfield services company listed on the Oslo Børs, on its financial restructuring effected by means of a Bermudian scheme of arrangement. The 'amend and extend scheme' was supported by approximately 94% in value of the scheme creditors and was sanctioned by the Supreme Court of Bermuda on 16 June 2017.

Clifford Chance advises Petroperú on its US$2 Billion Inaugural International Bond Offering

Clifford Chance advised Peru's largest state-owned company, Petróleos del Perú - Petroperú S.A., as issuer, in its first-ever international bond offering. Petroperú raised nearly US$2 billion in net proceeds to finance a modernization project related to its Talara Refinery (Refinería de Talara). The project is being developed primarily by Técnicas Reunidas, a Madrid-based global leader in the design and construction of oil and gas facilities around the world.

WFW advises Green Lucca on Italian PV portfolio financing

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW“) has advised Green Lucca S.p.A. (“Green Lucca”) on the €22m financing provided by UniCredit Banca S.p.A. (“UniCredit”) to seven SPVs, wholly owned by Green Lucca, for the refinancing of a 15 MW portfolio of 18 photovoltaic plants in Italy

Based in Lucca, Italy, Green Lucca is an investment holding company that owns and operates renewable energy power plants.

Finnish Energy - Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority Investigation

We successfully represented Finnish Energy in an investigation by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) concerning a recommendation issued by Finnish Energy in October 2015 concerning the harmonisation of the time-based measurement of electricity transmission.

Finnish Energy is a branch organisation for the industrial and labour market policy of the energy sector. It represents companies that produce, procure, transmit, distribute and sell electricity, district heat and district cooling, transmit and distribute gas and related services.

Herbert Smith Freehills advises ENGIE Group member on the disposal of its US$490 million stake in Petronet LNG

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised GDF International S.A.S., a member of the ENGIE Group, on the disposal of its entire 10% equity stake in Petronet LNG, an Indian LNG energy company listed on the BSE and NSE, by way of an on-market block trade which valued the stake at approximately US$490 million. 

Roddy Martin and Siddhartha Sivaramakrishnan led the firm's team on the transaction supported by senior associates Brian O'Malley, Jin Kong and Yuji Huang.

SK seeks advice on potential disputes with joint venture partner and client

Jones Day advised SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad (SK) on the resolution of potential disputes relating to its work as part of a joint venture with Clough (Thailand Co., Ltd) for Mubadala Petroleum on the Pearl Manora Field Development Project. The work was the procurement, construction, installation, hook up and testing of a production/processing platform, two pipelines, and one pipeline end manifold for the Field. Jones Day advised on potential disputes with both Mubadala and Clough.

White & Case Advises PGE Polska Grupa on PLN 4.51 Billion Acquisition of EDF's Polish Assets

White & Case LLP has advised PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. (PGE), Poland's biggest power producer, on its PLN 4.51 billion (approximately US$1.2 billion) acquisition of the EDF Group's assets in Poland.

PGE signed a Conditional Share Sale Agreement in relation to the acquisition with EDF International SAS and EDF Investment II B.V. on May 19, 2017.

Bird & Bird advises Capital Stage on the acquisition of a UK-based solar park from SPI Energy

Bird & Bird has advised Capital Stage AG, the German wind and solar operator, on their £4.7 million acquisition of a UK-based solar park from Chinese firm SPI Energy Co. Ltd.

Capital Stage acquired the Lancashire based 4.5MW solar project from SPI China (HK) Ltd., a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed SPI Energy Co., Ltd.

The deal was completed in a tight timescale to secure the project's eligibility for ROC.
