Norton Rose Fulbright acts for leading electrical contracting business Heyday5 on its sale to Southern Cross Electrical Engineering

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Heyday5 on its sale to Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (SCEE). Heyday5 is a leading Sydney-based electrical contracting business and SCEE is an Australian electrical, instrumentation, communication and maintenance services company headquartered in Perth and recognised for its industry leading capabilities.

The transaction combines two well-established, culturally aligned electrical contracting businesses operating in complementary sectors and geographies.

DLA Piper advises Sinopec on its acquisition of Chevron's downstream oil business in South Africa and Botswana

DLA Piper has advised China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) on its acquisition from Chevron Global Energy Inc. of seventy-five per cent of the shares in Chevron South Africa (Pty) Limited and one hundred per cent of the shares in Chevron Botswana (Pty) Limited. The deal heralds Chevron's exit from, and Sinopec's entry into, the South African and Botswanan downstream markets.

NautaDutilh advised Attarat Power Company: all set for building oil shale-fired power plant

NautaDutilh, advised Attarat Power Company (APCO) and the project sponsors, Eesti Energia AS (EE) and YTL Power International Berhad (YTL), on the construction and project financing of a 554MW gross oil shale fired mine mouth power station and open cast oil shale mine in Attarat um Ghudran, Jordan. Financial close of the USD 1,582 million debt facility was achieved on 16 March 2017.

Norton Rose Fulbright acts for OneWind Australia on sale of power projects to Nexif

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Sydney-based OneWind Australia, a Denham Capital-backed company, on the sale of its late-stage development wind projects in Australia to Singapore-based independent power producer Nexif Energy, which is another Denham-backed company.

The sale includes:

* the Lincoln Gap project in South Australia, scheduled to have 59 turbines and which could collectively generate between 150 MW and 177 MW;

* the Glen Innes project in NSW, scheduled to be a 75 MW wind farm; and

DLA Piper advises Anglo African Oil & Gas on AIM placing and 49% acquisition of Petro Kouilou SA

DLA Piper has advised Anglo African Oil & Gas plc (AAOG) on the acquisition of a 49 per cent stake in Petro Kouilou SA from Sister Holding SAS. The deal follows AAOG's successful admission to AIM on 6 March 2017, having raised £10 million by way of a placing, which the firm also advised on.

Slaughter and May advised Attarat Power Company (APCO) and the project sponsors, Eesti Energia AS (EE) and YTL Power International Berhad (YTL), on the construction and project financing of a 554MW gross oil shale fired mine mouth power station and open cast oil shale mine in Attarat um Ghudran, Jordan. Financial close of the USD1,582 million 15-year debt facility, which comprises the entire senior debt requirement for the Project, was achieved on 16 March 2017.

DLA Piper advises Victoria Oil & Gas on Bomono farm-out agreement

DLA Piper has acted for integrated energy company, Victoria Oil & Gas Plc (VOG), on a complex farm-out arrangement with Bowleven Plc (Bowleven), the Africa focused oil and gas exploration group. The transaction related to the production sharing contract (PSC) for the Bomono Block, Cameroon. 

The Bomono Permit is located in the onshore extension of the Douala Basin. The acreage is characterised by numerous surface oil seeps but is largely unexplored by modern exploration methods.
