VINGE ADVISES NORRA AFFÄRS ON ACQUISITION OF REMIUM

Vinge assists Norra Affärs Holding AB on its acquisition of Remium Nordic Holding AB from Mannerheim Invest Holding AB. Remium is a leading capital markets services provider in the small to medium sized enterprises segment offering e.g. corporate finance, equity research, asset management and corporate services. The acquisition is a strategic supplement to Norra Affärs’ business concept which primarily comprises lending to small to medium sized enterprises.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises National Australia Bank on UK solar financing

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised National Australia Bank Limited (NABL) on the financing of a portfolio of solar and wind projects in the UK, owned by Cubico Sustainable Investments Limited.

The first phase of financing comprised two wind and two solar projects with the second phase of financing, which reached financial close on 15 June 2016, adding seven solar projects to the portfolio. It has a combined capacity in excess of 123MW.

Singapore: Leading global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has advised the lead managers on the US$155 million IPO of Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), one of India's largest natural gas distribution companies.

The firm advised Citibank Global Markets India Private Limited and Kotak Mahindra Capital Company as bookrunners and lead managers on the Bombay Stock Exchange and Regulation S international offering.

Allen & Overy advises bank consortium and the institutional investors in connection with the refinancing of TanQuid GmbH & Co. KG

Allen & Overy LLP has advised the financing banks and the institutional investors in connection with the refinancing of an existing EUR 245 million loan granted to TanQuid GmbH & Co. KG through a combination of loan agreement and bond.

The bank consortium comprises Commerzbank AG, Credit Agricole CIB and The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ. The four institutional investors are Babson Capital, Edmond de Rothschild’s BRIDGE, IFM Investors and Schroders.

Cadwalader Advises Funding Circle on Ground-breaking Marketplace Lending Deal with EIB

Cadwalader successfully advised marketplace lending platform, Funding Circle, in its partnership with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to provide £100 million (US$146 million) of new funding to SMEs in the UK. The loans will be originated through the Funding Circle platform.

This investment, alongside £25 million from the Funding Circle SME Income Fund, will provide a further injection of funding into the UK small and medium-sized business sector over the next several years.

WFW advise bank syndicate on Andasol debt optimisation

International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has successfully advised a banking syndicate led by Banco Sabadell, S.A. (“Banco Sabadell”) on the debt optimisation of the Andasol 1 and 2 thermosolar plants with a total installed capacity of 100MW in Guadix, Granada, Spain.

The Andasol plants, originally financed with €500M in 2016, are owned by Antin Infrastructure Partners, Deustche Asset & Wealth Management and Spain’s Group Cobra (ACS).
