Ashurst advises St William Homes as the London Borough of Haringey resolves to grant planning permission for Haringey Heartlands

Ashurst has advised St William Homes, the joint venture between Berkeley Group and National Grid, on its proposals to redevelop  the former Clarendon Gasworks gas works, for which Haringey Council recently resolved to grant planning permission..

The high density scheme will transform the site into a vibrant, mixed neighbourhood include 1,700 homes, retail and office space central to the wider regeneration of Wood Green (identified as a growth area in Haringey's Local Plan). 

Ashurst advises Berkeley Homes as the London Borough of Newham resolves to grant planning permission for the redevelopment of Stephenson Street, West Ham

Ashurst has advised long standing client Berkeley Group on its proposals for the redevelopment of Stephenson Street (the former Parcelforce depot at West Ham) which Newham Council recently resolved to grant planning permission.

The scheme will deliver over 3800 new homes (a significant number of which will be for private rent), commercial and retail space, a new 1000 pupil secondary school, two new parks and a significant amount of infrastructure required to unlock the publicly-owned brownfield site (including three bridges and a new entrance to West Ham tube station).

Dentons advises Skanska on the sale of Nowa Fabryczna office building in Lodz, Poland

Dentons' Real Estate team in Warsaw has advised Skanska on the sale of the Nowa Fabryczna office building in Lodz, Poland to Niam for EU52 million.

Opened in October 2017, the seven-storey Nowa Fabryczna offers over 21,500 sq. m. gross leasable area and 210 parking spaces leased to tenants such as Fujitsu, Whirlpool, Cybercom and McCormick.

CMS advises Atenor on the sale of the 4th building of the Váci Greens project to a Hungarian private fund

CMS Budapest has advised the Belgian real estate developer Atenor on the sale of Building D of the Vaci Greens complex to a Hungarian private fund. The 15,650 sqm building was already 60% pre-leased to high-profile international tenants, such as Unilever, Aon and Atos.

Greenberg Traurig Germany advises LaSalle on acquisition of "Salamanderhaus" in Stuttgart for EUR 73 million

Greenberg Traurig Germany advised LaSalle Investment Management (LaSalle) on the acquisition of the "Salamanderhaus" in Stuttgart. LaSalle acquired the property on behalf of the Testina investment foundation for approximately EUR 73 million by way of a share deal. Testina is a Swiss investment foundation for real estate investments. The seller was La Francaise Group.

The "Salamanderhaus" combines office and retail space and is fully let to a diverse tenant base. Greenberg Traurig Germany advised LaSalle comprehensively on all legal aspects of the transaction.

UCP Plc Wins English High Court Battle

Skadden secured an important victory for client UCP Plc in a jurisdiction battle in the English High Court. The challenge by Nectrus Limited arose in connection with a claim by UCP for breaches of an agreement containing a nonexclusive jurisdiction clause in favor of the English courts, in circumstances where neither party operates in England and proceedings have been initiated by Nectrus against UCP in the Isle of Man.

DLA Piper advises Barings on the acquisition of an office building in Munich

DLA Piper has advised Barings Real Estate on the acquisition of an office building in the Obersendling district of Munich. The asset was acquired in an off-market transaction, at the same time as the conclusion of a long-term anchor lease to Music Support Group (MSG) and the Akademie Deutsche Pop. The property was sold by two private investors.

Gide advises on financing the construction of a shopping centre in Yopougon, Abidjan

Gide has advised a company incorporated under Ivorian law, owned by Group HC Capital Properties, on setting up a financing in CFA francs by NSIA Banque Côte d'Ivoire for the construction of the largest shopping centre in the Yopougon suburb of Abidjan, called "Cosmos Yopougon".

Gide's team comprised partner Arnaud Duhamel, counsel Nicolas Jean, and associate Perrine Delandre, from the Banking & Finance and Projects (Finance & Infrastructure) practice groups.
