Shoosmiths advises FutureEverything on exporting digital festival to Singapore

The Manchester office of Shoosmiths has advised award-winning innovation lab, FutureEverything, on their £500,000 commission by the government of Singapore to host a week-long digital culture festival in the country this Autumn.

FutureEverything's commission in the Far East was highlighted during the Prime Minister David Cameron's 'first Northern Powerhouse trade mission' to Singapore and Malaysia last month. FutureEverything joined the prime minister and business secretary Sajid Javid as part of the trade delegation.

With this acquisition two leading Swiss ICT provider join their forces with complementary competencies in the sectors IT Outsourcing and Cloud Computing. Garaio AG remains a substantial shareholder in in4U AG.

SoftwareONE partners with KKR

SoftwareONE, a global provider of software portfolio management solutions agreed with KKR, a leading global investment firm, on a 25% minority investment in SoftwareONE by investment funds affiliated with KKR. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to customary approvals and is expected to close in fall 2015.

Ashurst advises on the sale of photovoltaic service provider Solare Datensysteme GmbH to BKW

Ashurst advised the shareholders of Solare Datensysteme GmbH (SDS) on the sale of SDS to BKW Group, headquartered in Bern/Switzerland. The parties have agreed not to disclose the amount of the transaction. The closing of the purchase is expected in September 2015. By taking over the leading manufacturer of monitoring systems for photovoltaic systems based in the southern German town of Geislingen Binsdorf, BKW has strengthened its position in the photovoltaic service business.

Altice – cross-border merger

On 10 August 2015, Altice N.V. announced the completion of the cross-border merger of Altice S.A., a Luxembourg company, with and into Altice N.V., a Dutch public company.
 
The cross-border merger became effective on 9 August 2015. As part of this merger Altice N.V. inter alia introduced common A and common B shares, which shares have similar economic rights but different voting rights. Both the common A and common B shares have been admitted to listing and trading on Euronext Amsterdam.
