Global law firm White & Case LLP has successfully represented the French division of Dyson, the British technology company which designs and manufactures household and other appliances, in two cases of unfair competition against Rowenta, a member of Groupe SEB.

Dyson launched two unfair competition claims in 2014, which focused on the marketing campaigns associated with two Rowenta cordless vacuum cleaner lines.

Davis Polk Advises DXC Technology Company on £450 Million Unsecured Term Loan Credit Facility

Davis Polk advised DXC Technology Company and its United Kingdom subsidiary, CSC Computer Sciences International Operations Limited (“CSC UK”), in connection with a £450 million delayed draw unsecured term loan facility provided to CSC UK. The term loan is guaranteed by DXC and matures on January 15, 2022. CSC UK has the option to request that the commitments under the term loan facility be increased to £550 million if the existing or other lenders are willing to provide such an increase.

Hague Group acquires £6M turnover print management company

West Yorkshire-headquartered specialist print supplier Hague Group has acquired a £6m-turnover print management company based in the Midlands.

Venture, which has been established for more than 40 years, has a turnover of about £6m and employs 30 staff over its three sites in Leicester, Ilkeston and Newcastle under Lyme.

The current sales and administration team will remain in place at Venture and Hague plans to invest to further develop sales.

CENX acquired by Ericsson

Swedish telecommunications firm Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) completed its acquisition of 100% of the shares in CENX, a service assurance and network analytics firm.

CENX is headquartered in New Jersey and operates a major research and development facility in downtown Ottawa. Ericsson has held a minority stake in CENX since 2012.

Gowling WLG was Canadian counsel to CENX with respect to this transaction with a team that included Lorraine Mastersmith, Elisa Scali and Sarah Crowe.

RTPR Allen & Overy advises AROBS Transilvania on the acquisition of SAS Grup

RTPR Allen & Overy has advised AROBS Transilvania, a market leader in software products and services development, in relation to the acquisition of SAS Grup. SAS Grup owns alarma.ro and is one of the main players in the fleet monitoring solutions field in Romania. The deal was signed in August and closed in October.
