DLA Piper advises SoftBank Group in its Series E investment into Guardant Health

International law firm Bird & Bird LLP advised Quill Content Limited ("Quill"), a global content creator business, on its latest funding round led by Panoramic Growth Equity with participation by existing investor Smedvig Capital.

Quill, the global content creator business, aims to help ecommerce companies optimise the online purchase journey and use Primary Content to drive sales. The business has over 170 global customers in 13 countries including the likes of Google, John Lewis, House of Fraser, Ebay and Virgin Holidays.

DLA Piper represented Accruent, LLC, a leading provider of software and services that enable organizations to shape, drive, manage and control their physical assets, in its acquisition of Lucernex, Inc.

Lucernex, a provider of cloud-based, Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), will augment Accruent's ability to help customers manage their real estate, facilities and equipment lifecycle, and address regulatory compliance challenges concerning real estate and equipment leases.

Dacadoo ag completes new capital round with new lead investor

Dacadoo ag, based in Zurich, has completed a new capital raise with, among other investors, the new lead investor Rakuten Capital, the investment arm of the Japanese e-commerce market leader Rakuten. Dacadoo develops and operates a digital, mobile health engagement platform that helps people actively manage their health.

The capital increase was successfully completed by the end of July 2017.

Lenz & Staehelin advised dacadoo ag and the founder as Swiss counsel in this transaction.

Osborne Clarke advises Persistent on the acquisition of PARX

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised Persistent Systems on its acquisition of Swiss-based PARX Werk AG, a specialist in digitising business processes in companies.

For Persistent, a software solutions builder for enterprises and software product companies, the acquisition marks their continued global expansion which includes the recent openings of development centres in Mexico, Israel and new locations in the U.S.

PARX is a Salesforce Platinum Consulting Partner and a leading Salesforce service provider in the DACH market.

Nctm with Sagemcom and Charterhouse in acquisition of Meter Italia

Sagemcom Energy & Telecom, a Charterhouse portfolio company, has acquired 100% of Meter Italia from shareholders CPL Concordia, Cooperativa Bilanciai and Cooperare.

France based Sagemcom is a owned portfolio company of UK private equity fund Charterhouse Capital Partners, and is leader in Europe in the high added-value communicating terminals market, with turnover of EUR 1,5 billion, active in more than 40 countries.

Meter Italia is one of the largest European manufacturers of meters, both industrial and domestic.

A leading provider of intelligent image analysis software, especially for diagnostic ultrasound, TomTec’s software is used by more than 20,000 physicians and 600 health facilities worldwide to treat their patients daily.
