Linklaters advised a consortium of Transmission Investment LLP, Amber Infrastructure and International Public Partnerships (together, Transmission Capital Partners) in relation to the acquisition and financing by the European Investment Bank and Aviva Annuity UK Limited of the offshore transmission assets connecting the 356MW Westermost Rough wind farm to the onshore distribution network.

White & Case Advises Meyer Bergman on Acquisition of 38-Property Portfolio in France

White & Case LLP has advised Meyer Bergman, a European real estate investment and fund management firm, on the acquisition of a portfolio of 38 French properties through one of its pan-European funds.

The portfolio, comprising high street properties, retail parks, mixed-use properties and shopping galleries, was acquired from institutional investors for more than €100 million.

Nabarro advises Cicerone Fund on acquisition of Waterstones' landmark Piccadilly bookstore

Nabarro has advised CBRE Global Investors and Fabrica SGR, the adviser and asset manager of the Cicerone Fund respectively, on the acquisition of the long-term leasehold of the Waterstones flagship store located in 203-206 Piccadilly, London, for £92 million from Meyer Bergman. This marks the debut for the ambitious international expansion of the Cicerone Fund, an Italian property fund dedicated to Cassa Forense, the Lawyers’ National Pension Fund.

Bong acquires receivables from its creditor banks

Bong AB (publ) has acquired receivables from its creditor banks. Among other things, the implementation of the transaction involved issuing senior covered bonds for a total SEK 200 million, an offset issue of shares to the banks to cover part of the outstanding receivables, the conversion of the company's outstanding convertible securities into shares, a new share issue directed to the banks and holders of convertible securities and the issuance of warrants to bond investors.

Niam acquires 461 dwellings in Aalborg, Denmark

By two transactions the real estate investment fund Niam has acquired a total of 461 dwellings in Aalborg, Denmark. The two property portfolios were acquired from Sveafastigheter Fund III and North Property Asset Management. Plesner assisted Niam with both transactions.
The two property portfolios consist of 42 flats on the Aalborg waterfront and 419 dwellings in "DaVinci Parken" in an area south of the centre of Aalborg. The 42 waterfront flats have a total dwelling space of about 4,000 sqm and the 419 dwellings in "DaVinci Parken" have a total area of 42,500 sqm.

Nabarro and Eversheds advise on £335m Grand Central, Birmingham transaction

Nabarro has advised Hammerson plc (“Hammerson”) on the acquisition of the new Grand Central shopping centre in Birmingham for £335 million from Birmingham City Council. Eversheds advised the developer and seller, a joint venture between Birmingham City Council and Network Rail on the development, pre-let and sale of Grand Central. In addition, Hammerson is in advanced discussions with an existing joint venture partner about entering into a 50:50 joint venture for the future ownership of Grand Central.
