OP-Rental Yield: Acquisition of Landmark Property in the City Centre of Helsinki

We advised OP-Rental Yield, a non-UCITS fund, in its acquisition of a prestige property from VR Group Ltd. Built in the early 20th century, the property is located next to the central railway station of Helsinki and is one of the city’s landmarks. The building is leased to HOK-Elanto Liiketoiminta Oy under a lease agreement in force until 2030. It is currently home to a restaurant.

Bär & Karrer Advises Swiss Prime Site on the Acquisition of Boas Group's Senior Care Segment

Swiss Prime Site AG (SIX: SPSN), the leading company for real estate investments in Switzerland, is acquiring the "Senior Care" operations of Boas-Yakhin Holding SA, Crissier, through the Tertianum Group. Senior Care is the leading group for medical and social institutions in the assisted living segment in the French part of Switzerland, managing 15 institutions comprising 632 medical beds and 176 apartments. Those activities generated a turnover of approximately CHF 70 million in 2014.

Fieldfisher advises investor on acquisition of publity AG's corporate headquarters

Fieldfisher has advised an international investor on its acquisition of the Leipzig headquarters of publity AG, the German asset manager.

Publity's headquarters, on the 'old fair' industrial park in Leipzig, was built in 2012. The 8,200sq/m area is over two stories, giving floor space of almost 3,000 square metres with offices and a conference centre. The asset is divided into the management area, with a conference centre and elongated office building which includes its own entrance and elevator. Both are accessed via a full-glazed entrance and reception.

Carlyle’s Shanghai Office Property Acquisition

Shanghai – Paul Hastings LLP announced today that it represented the Carlyle Group, a U.S.-based private equity firm, in the acquisition of an office property in Shanghai known as Manpo International Plaza. The acquisition was completed through a direct onshore asset purchase and Paul Hastings advised primarily on the dual currency onshore and offshore acquisition financing portion of the transaction.

Manpo International Plaza is a 32-storey Grade A office building located in the Changning district of Shanghai.

Mayer Brown JSM advises on one of Shanghai’s largest real estate transactions of the year

Mayer Brown JSM acted as the legal adviser for Bayline Global Limited on its acquisition of Shanghai Corporate Avenue 3 from Shui On Land Limited. The two parties signed the sale and purchase agreement on 10 December 2015.

Bayline Global is a joint venture between LKK Health Products Group Limited (a member of Lee Kum Kee) and Vanke Property (Hong Kong) Company Limited, in which LKK owns 90 percent of the shares and Vanke the remaining 10 percent.

Ashurst advises on the establishment by Macquarie Capital and Greenergy of Navigator Terminals and its first acquisitions

Ashurst is advising on the establishment of and first acquisitions by Navigator Terminals ('Navigator'), a partnering between Macquarie Capital and Greenergy.  The transaction includes the acquisition of Royal Vopak's UK storage facilities at West Thurrock on the Thames, Seal Sands at Teesside and Windmill near Cardiff and operational storage assets of Greenergy North Tees at Teesside.

WLG's Energy team advises Primrose Solar on reaching its 200MW milestone

Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co's (WLG) Energy team, led by partner Gareth Baker and senior associate Meera Unadkat, has advised longstanding client Primrose Solar on the acquisition of a 4.21 MW solar farm at Fanny House Farm, Heaton with Oxcliffe.

The acquisition brings Primrose's solar energy contribution up to 202MW of installed capacity, either operational or under construction.

Carey, a real estate investment trust specializing in corporate sale-leaseback and build-to-suit financing, in relation to the acquisition of Multimedialny Dom Plusa – the headquarters of the giant Polish telecommunications operator, Polkomtel. The seller was Harmony-Warszawa-Konstruktorska sp. z o.o., an entity affiliated with Polkomtel.
