Ashurst advises Cerberus on acquisition of 10 German shopping centres

Ashurst has advised affiliates of Cerberus Capital Management on the acquisition of the so-called "Monsoon" portfolio, comprising ten shopping centres in the German cities of Berlin, Dessau, Ellwangen, Freiberg, Halle, Hannover, Jena, Meißen, Oranienburg and Plauen. The main lessee of the centres is German retailing group Kaufland. The affiliates of Cerberus Capital Management succeeded in a multi-level tendering procedure.

The ten shopping centres were sold by Dutch insolvency administrator Barend de Roy van Zuidewijn of law firm AKD.

Zodiac Aerospace - acquisition of a business comprising the engineering department of Threesixty Aerospace

Slaughter and May advised Zodiac Aerospace on its acquisition of a business comprising the engineering department of Threesixty Aerospace Limited. Threesixty Aerospace Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Virgin Atlantic Airways Limited engaged in the conception, design and manufacture of seats installed in Virgin Atlantic aircraft.

Zodiac Aerospace is a world leader in aerospace equipment and systems for commercial, regional and business aircraft, as well as helicopters and space applications. Its shares are listed for trading on Euronext Paris.

Linklaters advises Cerberus on the Germany-wide purchase of commercial properties

Frankfurt,03 July 2013. Linklaters has provided advice to several Promontoria companies (with seat in the Netherlands) on the acquisition of a portfolio consisting of nine shopping centres which were part of insolvency estates of Secur Group (with Dr. Bernsau at BBL appointed as insolvency administrator). The Promontoria companies are entities affiliated to Cerberus Capital Management. The shopping centres are located throughout Germany. The floor space of the commercial units sold is altogether 92,000 square meters.

WFW advises IKaV Renewable S.à r.l on the acquisition of four photovoltaic plants in Sardinia

Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has advised IKaV Renewable S.à r.l (IKaV) on the acquisition of four ground-mounted photovoltaic plants in Sardinia, Italy from REC Systems Italy S.r.l. The plants have a total capacity of 8 MWp.

IKaV is a Luxembourg investment fund specialized in the renewable energy sector. The acquisition is the latest transaction for IKaV on which WFW’s multi-disciplinary and international team has successfully advised.

Simmons & Simmons Advises ONGC Videsh and Oil India on US$2.475bn LNG Acquisition in Mozambique

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised ONGC Videsh Limited (“OVL”) and Oil India Limited (“OIL”) on the US$2.475 billion acquisition of Videocon Rovuma 1 Limited, the company holding a ten percent participating interest in the Rovuma Offshore Block in Mozambique (“Area 1”), from Videocon Mauritius Energy Limited.

Ashurst advises Oranje-Nassau Energie on Hanze and Pliocene acquisition

Ashurst has advised Oranje-Nassau Energie ("ONE") on its acquisition from Noble Energy, Inc. of a non-operated interest in the Hanze oil field and Pliocene gas field located in the Dutch North Sea.

The Ashurst team was led by Partner, Geoffrey Picton-Turbervill, with Associates Jubilee Easo and Tom Saint.

Dentons’ real estate group in Europe has advised Atrium Real Estate on their purchase of the Galeria Dominikañska shopping center in the Polish city of Wroclaw with an approximate asset value of €152 million.
Atrium, a leading investor-developer of prime CEE retail space, acquired the Galeria Dominikañska, which is the leading shopping center in Wroclaw, Poland’s fourth-largest city and capital of the Silesia region. ECE group will remain the property and leasing manager for the center.

International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised Dalian Wanda Group on the £320m acquisition of Sunseeker International (Holdings) Limited, Britain’s largest luxury yachtmaker, from FL Partners, a Dublin-based PE firm, and on the acquisition of a significant development site on the South Bank of London from Green Property with the intention to build one of the tallest luxury residential/hotel complexes in Western Europe.
