Norton Rose Fulbright advises on US$500m hybrid bond issuance by Majid Al Futtaim

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised the global co-ordinators and joint lead managers on the issuance by MAF Global Securities Limited of Reset Subordinated Perpetual Notes, guaranteed by Majid Al Futtaim Holding LLC and Majid Al Futtaim Properties LLC. The notes were rated BB+ and received a 50% equity credit by both Standard & Poor's and Fitch.

Allen & Overy advises syndicated lenders on successful refinancing of BARTEC Group

Allen & Overy LLP has advised the syndicated lenders and the agent, a subsidiary of Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft, on the successful refinancing of the BARTEC Group. The world market leader in explosion protection based in Bad Mergentheim, Germany, came to an agreement with its lenders on the restructuring of the overall financing.

Shearman & Sterling Advises Naviera Armas on Its €50 Million Private Placement

Shearman & Sterling advised Naviera Armas, S.A. (the “Issuer”), a subsidiary of Bahía de las Isletas, S.L., in connection with its offering of €50 million additional aggregate principal amount of floating rate senior secured notes due 2023. The offering, which was conducted as a private offering pursuant to Regulation S under the US Securities Act, closed on March 6, 2017. The notes are guaranteed on a senior secured basis by Bahía de las Isletas, S.L. and certain of its subsidiaries.

Firm Represents Underwriters in Offering of an Aggregate of $2.5 Billion of Senior Notes by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group

Simpson Thacher recently represented the underwriters, for whom Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and MUFG Securities Americas Inc. acted as representatives, in connection with the offering by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. (“MUFG”) of $500 million of Floating Rate Senior Notes due 2022, $1 billion of 2.998% Senior Notes due 2022 and $1 billion of 3.677% Senior Notes due 2027. The offering was made pursuant to MUFG’s shelf registration statement on Form F-3 under the Securities Act.

Dentons assists Matis S.p.A. on its debt restructuring

Dentons assisted Matis S.p.A., a company operating in the real estate sector, on the restructuring of its debt through an agreement with Aareal Bank, and a recovery plan based on the Italian Bankruptcy Law. The value of the deal amounted to approx. €40 million.

Senior Counsel Cristian Fischetti led the deal.

Matis owns a first class property located in Verona and named “Palazzo delle Poste”.
