Macfarlanes advises Venn Partners on PRS facility and related bond issuance

Macfarlanes has advised debt fund manager, Venn Partners, on a £46.7m facility to Invesco Real Estate to refinance a portfolio of 580 purpose-built PRS developments located in Bracknell, Exeter, Bedford, Crawley and Stevenage.

The portfolio was recently acquired by a joint venture between Invesco Real Estate and Westrock.

Gilbert + Tobin’s banking + infrastructure and energy + resources teams have advised Cooper Energy on a funding package for its Sole Gas Project, which is set to create the first new source of gas supply that stretches Australia’s east coast market in a number of years.

The team helped Cooper Energy secure flexible terms that enable the company to meet its long-term requirements and advised on the structuring of arrangements with APA Group in connection with APA’s acquisition of the Orbost Gas Processing Plant, where the gas from Sole will be treated.

WFW advises HSH Nordbank on €131m financing of two Finnish wind farms

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised HSH Nordbank AG (“HSH Nordbank”) on the financing of the Haapajärvi and Ratiperä wind farms in Finland.

HSH Nordbank provided a long-term financing of €65m for the 23.1 MW Haapajärvi windfarm, located in the town of the same name, and €66m for the 27 MW Ratiperä windfarm, in Jamijärvi municipality. Both projects were built by German developer ABO Wind AG.

WFW advises HSH Nordbank on Danish wind farm project financing

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised HSH Nordbank AG (“HSH Nordbank”) on the financing of the Kappel wind farm in Denmark.

HSH Nordbank provided a long-term financing for the wind farm, which is located on the Danish island of Lolland. The wind farm, which has a total capacity of 25 MW, was built by Danish developer European Energy and acquired by a fund managed by Aquila Capital, the alternative asset management division of the Hamburg-based Aquila Group.

DLA Piper has advised Germany's Aareal Bank on its financing of London-based investor Henderson Park's debut acquisition in the UK hotel market. The £330 million loan supports Henderson Park's £500 million acquisition of the London and Birmingham Hilton Metropole hotels which completed last week.

Dentons advises Aprirose on £525 million acquisition of QHotels in one of the UK's largest hotel transactions of 2017

Dentons has advised UK-based real estate investment company Aprirose Limited on its acquisition and the related financing of QHotels group from Bain Capital Credit and Canyon partners for £525 million, representing the largest hotel portfolio acquisition deal in the UK in 2017 so far.

The portfolio includes 26 four- and five-star regional hotels and golf courses across the UK, with a number of them located in cities including Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow. The hotels include the grade II-listed Midland Hotel in Manchester and The Queens Hotel in Leeds.
